SANAA, Yemen —
A suicide car bomber struck a convoy of Yemeni Shiites on their way to a religious ceremony on Wednesday, killing 17 and wounding more than 15 people, a security official said.
The official said authorities suspected al-Qaida was behind the attack, though it would be the extremist organization’s first reported direct assault on the country’s Shiite minority.i think at this time the differing sects of muslims should stop fighting eachother, and band together. your ALL brothers & sisters. you know that term ‘solidarity’? this isnt just for the palestinian plight, this is for muslims in general. this is the time to show the world that Islam really is a religion of peace and respect, love and faith in good. but how can people believe this when muslims are killing eachother?
I think a big problem is that a lot of Sunnis demuslimize Shiites, not even acknowledging Shism as Islam. We may have different sects, ways of interpreting Islam, but we are all Muslims. We are one Ummah! Islam is perfect, humans are not. Lets go by the teachings of Islam rather than our emotions.
